Creating an Account

You create a Pentos account the first time you sign in. There is no separate sign-up form and no password to choose.

Sign Up

  1. Go to app.pentos.ai.
  2. Click Continue with Google, or enter your email address and click Continue with email.
  3. With email, open the message Pentos sends you and click the link, or type the 6-digit code on the sign-in page.

By continuing, you agree to the Pentos Terms. For more on each sign-in method, see Signing In.

First-Time Setup

After your first sign-in, a short setup opens. Finish it to start using Pentos.

  • Welcome: a quick introduction.
  • Theme: pick a color theme. The preview updates as you click, and you can change it later in Settings > Account > Preferences.
  • Profile: add your first name, last name, and a username of 4 to 25 letters, numbers, or hyphens. If you signed up with Google, your name is usually filled in already. You can also add a profile picture (PNG, JPEG, or WebP, up to 25 MB) and, under the additional details, your occupation, interests, a short bio, your location, and your timezone. Public profile is off unless you turn it on, so only your friends see your bio, location, status and friends list; you can change it later on the Preferences tab of your profile.
  • Agreements: agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, and confirm the age policy. You can also choose to receive occasional product updates.
  • Complete: finish the setup. Pentos reloads and starts a short tour of the app.

If your username is already taken, Pentos asks you to choose another. Your bio, occupation, interests, and location are encrypted at rest; see Security.
