Preferences

The Preferences tab in your User Profile lets you tune how Pentos looks, sounds, and behaves on your account. Open your User Profile and select the Preferences tab to access these settings.

Theme

Pentos ships with several color themes you can switch between at any time. The Theme section shows a live preview at the top of the panel that updates as you click each color option. When you close Settings or move to another section with a new theme selected, Pentos asks whether to keep it: Yes, Save & Refresh refreshes the app with the new theme, and Discard goes back to your current one.

Cursor Color

Your cursor color is the color other people see when they’re editing alongside you in collaborative editors, such as the chats editor or shared documents in Files. Your cursor color, highlights, and any comment highlights you create all use this color.

Pick from six preset colors. The selection saves immediately and applies the next time you join a collaborative editor.

Sounds

Toggle Sounds on to enable notification sounds across Pentos. When on, Pentos plays a sound for new messages, notifications, and other interactive events. Turn it off to keep things silent.

Motion

Turn on Reduce motion to stop animations and transitions across Pentos, such as sliding panels, fades and shimmering placeholders. Loading spinners keep turning, so you can still tell when something is working. It saves and applies as soon as you turn it on or off.

When it’s off, Pentos follows your device: if reduced motion is on in your operating system’s accessibility settings, Pentos reduces motion too.

Auto-Logout

Auto-Logout is in Settings > Account > Security. See Auto-Logout.
